Clinton Morrison gushes over Brandon Thomas-Asante goal for West Brom v Bristol City

Clinton Morrison waxed lyrical over Brandon Thomas-Asante after the West Brom forward scored a sublime chip against Bristol City on December 26.

Thomas-Asante is becoming renowned for his goal-of-the-season contenders and added to his classy collection in what was a comfortable 2-0 win for the Baggies.

Morrison admitted the finish from the former Salford City striker was “outstanding” after footage unfolded on ITV’s English Football League highlights show.

West Brom

“That’s an outstanding goal,” said Morrison on ITV’s English Football League Highlights show on 26 December (33:21).

“Goal of the day, they have got the squad now to go and compete.”

West Brom

Onwards and upwards.

Well, aren’t things looking a hell of a lot better for the Baggies? Another win under Corberan and the club are now sitting in 13th place staring at the Play-Off places.

And it seems to make them now a real possibility, especially if the Albion keep playing like they are, everything it starting to come together.

The changes the Spaniard has made at the club are nothing short of fantastic and appointing him as the new head coach was a brilliant move.

Credit where credit is due but it seems Ron Gourlay got this one absolutely right and it’s going to be interesting to see how far he can take West Brom this campaign.

Preston North End on 29 December is the next challenge for the Baggies to face, followed by a Reading match-up on January 2.

There is not much rest for Corberan and co but this may be the perfect remedy to catapult West Brom into the Play-Off positions in 2023.
