West Brom confirm starting XI for clash v Preston North End
West Brom have confirmed their starting XI for their Championship fixture with Preston North End on December 29 with three changes made.
Carlos Corberan has decided to make three changes to his starting XI with Brandon Thomas-Asante, Grady Diangana and Tom Rogic coming into the team to start.
As confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Corberan brought back star forward Thomas-Asante to the starting lineup, dropping Daryl Dike, Matt Phillips and John Swift from the starting XI.
Emphatic turnaround.
What a difference a couple of months makes hey? The Baggies are enjoying an epic turnaround in their fortunes and are staring the Champions Play-Offs in the face.
It just goes to show that sometimes the fans are right, for months they taunted and called out Steve Bruce for his woeful tactics and it seems they were right to do so.
The new rich vein of form also speaks volumes about Corberan and how good of a manager he is, with luck, he’ll be here to stay for a while.
A new manager bounce perhaps? Potentially, but the Albion look completely settled in what they are currently doing and their trust in the Spaniard is plain to see.
There’s still plenty of time for a potential banana skin to occur, but the fact West Brom are steering well clear of the dreaded drop is all fans can ask for right now.
A Play-Off run would simply be the icing on the cake to what could have been a disastrous season, thank the heavens for Corberan.
