West Brom offered chance to sign Cho Gue-sung in January window
West Brom have been offered the chance to sign South Korea striker Cho Gue-sung in the January transfer window, according to 90min.
Cho, who scored twice for his country at the World Cup in Qatar, is being chased by Championship rivals Burnley, Premier League trio Leeds, Everton, and Southampton, and Old Film clubs Celtic and Rangers as well.
The Baggies are dreaming of promotion under Carlos Corberan, and the 24-year-old, who plays for Jeonbuk Hyundai, would be a fantastic addition to the club.

Promotion hopes
The Korean striker has been impressive for both club and country this season. He was particularly impressive in the World Cup where he netted both goals in a 3-2 defeat against Ghana.
He featured in all four games in Qatar and helped his country reach the last 16 stages of the competition. Cho is currently the joint top-scorer for the season in the K League.
Obviously, when Premier League clubs are involved, they hold an advantage to sign him over Championship clubs. But at the same time, the Baggies can lure him with the offer of a regular starting role, something Cho may not get elsewhere.

The finance could be a major problem here. West Brom’s financial plight has been well documented, and it is unclear whether Corberan will be given sufficient funds to operate in the transfer market.
The club owner, Guochuan Lai keeps failing on repayment deadlines, while the Baggies secured a four-year loan last month against all of their assets which will be used to finance the general business operations of the football club.
In such a scenario, the Baggies may really struggle to compete with other clubs in the transfer market.
In other West Brom news, Guochuan Lai wants to sell the club with the takeover now dependant on one condition.
