David Prutton predicts West Brom showdown v Burnley in Championship for Sky Sports
David Prutton has predicted the West Brom Championship showdown against Burnley for Sky Sports in what promises to be a hotly contested competition.
The Baggies enter the fixture in fierce form but Burnley could move 19 points clear of third place in the table if they get the win on 20 January.
Prutton highlighted that as “simply remarkable” and thinks West Brom’s winning run could come to an end at Turf Moor, despite their untouchable form right now.

“It’s a battle of two massively in-form sides at Turf Moor. Burnley could move 19 points clear of third place if they win on Friday night, which is simply remarkable at this stage of the season,” as quoted by Sky Sports. (19 January)
“West Brom will be out to stop them, and they are in great nick themselves and right in play-off contention. But I think this is where their winning run ends. Burnley are just too good right now.”

Tough ask.
Burnley, who have won eight on the spin in the league, have set the pace at the top since the end of October and it will be a tough ask for the Albion to get some points.
Albion’s rise has been one of historic proportions and if they could get the win over Burnley they will have all but cemented themselves as promotion challengers.
West Brom displayed a strong mentality to triumph at Luton last Saturday and more of this never say die attitude will be needed against Vincent Kompany’s smart outfit.
In what promises to be Carlos Corberan’s biggest challenge since taking on the role of head coach in October, he will be without some key personnel for the clash.
Brandon Thomas-Asante is still missing due to suspension whilst mainstay winger and Corberan favourite Matt Phillips will be out due to a thigh injury.
This hardly helps matters for the Baggies against the Championship’s top side and they will need to be at their very much to get anything from the fixture.
