West Brom appoint new scout for ages 15-19 internationally and in United Kingdom
West Brom have appointed Rajab Noor as their new scout for players between the ages of 15-19 locally and internationally.
The Baggies have been well known for their academy bringing through great local talent, although in recent months a lot of their top prospects have been taken to Aston Villa due to financial problems.
But the club are looking to bring in more known youth prospects once again and have expanded their scouting department with the appointment of Noor, who announced his new role on Twitter.
“Delighted to have started as a scout at West Bromwich Albion Football Club I am now seeking talented players locally and nationally especially those aged 15-19,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (20 January).
Future
The club looked destined for trouble a few months ago with the team sitting in the relegation zone of the Championship and a heap of off-field issues.
While the off-field problems haven’t disappeared with the loan problems from the owner and the financial issues still looming, the club look much better on the pitch.

The defeat to Burnley is a blip, which is saying something from where we were not long ago, and now the club is looking to rebuild from within by recruiting players from a young age to come into the first-team.
They would follow the likes of Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Zac Ashworth from the academy up to the first-team squad, and that will always be a good thing to have that pathway clear.
It’s an encouraging sign, and if we can keep pushing to earn promotion from where we were earlier in the season, things will only look even brighter as time goes on.
