West Brom transfer update emerges as Josh Onomah set to leave Fulham in January
West Brom will reportedly not be signing Fulham midfielder Josh Onomah in the January transfer window after nearly securing his services in the summer.
According to West London Sport [23 January], due to Steve Bruce no longer being at the helm a move to the Hawthorns is off the cards this month.
The 25-year-old would’ve been at the club, but the Baggies failed to register the paperwork in time for the move to go through.

Fulham manager Marco Silva recently confirmed that he will be allowed to leave in January.
He said, “It is possible for something to happen for Josh in this market. I had a conversation with him at the end of last season and we decided together that it was important for him to go for many reasons.”
Not needed
The Baggies are better off staying away from players Bruce wanted to sign and must instead listen to what Carlos Corberan wants.
In a relatively short time, he’s already showing why he’s the right man for the job and deserves backing from the board in January.
Qualifying for the play-offs appeared to be a distant dream under Bruce, but it is now very much a reality and Corberan deserves credit for it.

He’s got the fans excited once again which is something that always needs to be taken into account and in the dressing room, it’s certainly a good atmosphere.
We need the club to show some desire and start to take steps towards making new signings as it’s all gone a bit quiet in these parts.
It will be clear if come February, no new players have been signed, that the board are writing off this season and do not see promotion as a realistic option.
In other West Brom news, Guochuan Lai wants to sell the club with the takeover now dependant on one condition.
