Compensation update emerges as West Brom manager Carlos Corberan eyed by Everton
West Brom would reportedly demand “serious” compensation if Everton are to appoint Carlos Corberan as their next manager.
According to the Daily Star (25/01, page 48), the Baggies boss is among the contenders to succeed Frank Lampard at Goodison Park.
However, as he is under contract and just moved to the Hawthorns a few months ago, it’s not going to be a cheap deal for the Toffees.

Price them out
We do not think that Corberan would want to abandon ship and move to a club that could very well be in the Championship next season.
There’s no coherent planning at Goodison Park and it seems like managers are being considered for fun without any care about their playing philosophy.
Farhad Moshiri is an extremely unpopular owner and the new manager there is unlikely to get much to spend in the coming days of the transfer window.

If Corberan fails to keep them up, he may even get sacked and another job in the Championship may not be waiting for him.
The best thing that West Brom can now do is demand heavy compensation from Everton in case they think of approaching their manager.
Hopefully, it does not come to that and the boss can focus on his side and getting them ready to compete for a play-off finish.
In other West Brom news, Guochuan Lai wants to sell the club with the takeover now dependent on one condition.
