Journalist shares West Brom manager Carlos Corberan update amid Everton links
West Brom reportedly do not welcome any approaches or contact from Everton as Carlos Corberan is linked with a move to Goodison Park.
According to Birmingham Live journalist Joseph Chapman, the Baggies manager is not looking past the clash against Bristol City on 28 January in the FA Cup.
He’s also not one to get distracted by outside noise with the club clearly wanting him to stay.

Chapman wrote, “I’ve spoken to Albion. The rumours are just that, rumours, and they certainly don’t welcome any approaches or contact. Corberan himself is the kind of man who won’t be looking past Bristol City. The outside noise is not something he’d immerse himself in.”
He’s staying on
Everton appear to be targeting managers on a whim and that’s perhaps why Corberan’s name has been dropped into the mix as well.
They’re pursuing managers with Premier League experience as their first criterion is to stay in the English top flight.
There does not appear to be any approach made for Corberan and we do not see it happening either with the likes of Marcelo Bielsa and Sean Dyche understood to be among the favourites.

Corberan is looking to build something at West Brom and he’s unlikely to get any time to do that at Everton so it’ll be career suicide for him
Hopefully, he’s backed with a few good signings in January as he certainly needs them if the Baggies are to finish in the play-offs.
He’s proven that he can improve the players he has at his disposal and is a safe bet to back with money in the window as there’s a good chance he takes this club to the next level.
In other West Brom news, Guochuan Lai wants to sell the club with the takeover now dependent on one condition.
