West Brom want to sign Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba after £10m transfer blow
West Brom are looking to make an addition before Tuesday’s transfer deadline and they have reportedly earmarked Aston Villa midfielder Marvelous Nakamba as an option.
According to a report from Express and Sport, the 29-year-old, who cost Villa £11million in 2019, is on Carlos Corberan’s radar as the club desperate to bolster their midfield region.
The Zimbabwean international fell out of favour under Steven Gerrard and is not in the plans of Unai Emery as well, therefore he is free to leave this month.

The Baggies have been heavily linked with a move for Lewis O’Brien but he is likely to move to Sheffield United after Nottingham Forest inserted an obligation to buy clause of £10m.
Good addition
The Baggies are looking to bolster their midfield and it seems they’ve been trying to land at least one player in January.
The club have been linked with a move for Fulham’s Nathaniel Chalobah, while O’Brien was another key target.
O’Brien would have been a terrific addition to the club. He has previously played under Corberan at Huddersfield, but the finance is a big problem for the Baggies as couldn’t commit to that deal.

Nakamba has not yet featured this season. He last played on the final day of last term, and he is free to leave.
He has got Premier League experience and would be a solid addition. At the same time, he would be very rusty. He hasn’t played at all this season, and would need time to get back to full match sharpness.
Chalobah would still be a good option for the Baggies. However, any potential deal is only possible if Fulham sign someone and allow him to leave.
In other West Brom news, Celtic accepted an offer from the Baggies for this January signing.
