Chelsea wonderkid Omari Hutchinson has loan option to join West Brom

West Brom are looking to add one more player before Tuesday’s (31 January) 11 pm deadline, and they have submitted a loan offer for Chelsea wonderkid Omari Hutchinson, according to Nizaar Kinsella.

Writing for the Evening Standard (live blog, 31 January, 5.58 pm), the journalist reported that the 19-year-old is now discussing loan options in the final hours of the transfer window.

He has also offers from Wigan Atheltic. The youngster is currently deciding on his next move or whether to stay at Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season.

“Chelsea wonderkid Omari Hutchinson has loan options on the table to move to West Brom or Wigan. Both would be tough but a great learning curve for the 19-year-old, this one will run late,” wrote Kinsella on Twitter.

Late move?

Hutchinson is one of the brightest young talents at Chelsea, and he would be a cracking addition to the club on loan.

The Baggies have already confirmed the signing of Nathaniel Chalobah who has joined from Fulham on an 18-month deal permanently.

Carlos Corberan wants to bolster his midfield areas, and he is now looking to add a winger to his ranks before the 11 pm deadline.

Following the injury to Matt Phillips, it has become important to sign a replacement, and Hutchinson won’t be a bad option.

The youngster is expected to drop down the pecking order and his progress could be blocked by three new signings in Chelsea’s attack.

The club could allow him to leave. He has already one appearance in the Premier League, and a further two appearances have come in cup games.

He is a natural winger but can play in the advanced attacking midfield role as well.

The deal could go down to the wire, and the decision solely rests on the player.
