West Brom agree deal with Chelsea to sign Omari Hutchinson on loan – Fabrizio Romano
West Brom have agreed a loan deal with Chelsea for Omari Hutchinson, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Guardian journalist reported late on deadline day (31 January, 07:39pm) that Albion are now set to “exchange contracts” with Chelsea in a bid to wrap up the deal before the 11pm cut-off.
Romano adds that Hutchinson, 19, has agreed to join the Baggies, who are now “working on the documents” to make their second signing of the day after Nathaniel Chalobah earlier arrived from Fulham on a permanent basis.
Exciting
Hutchinson is a hot prospect at Chelsea.
The youngster is a versatile attacker who can play mainly on the wings but he’s also been known to feature as a number 10 and even as a centre-forward.
In Premier League 2 this season, the Redhill-born ace has scored five goals and supplied seven assists in 14 matches for Chelsea’s Under-21s.
The former Arsenal talent has also made his Premier League debut by playing for Chelsea in their 1-0 defeat against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on 5 January.

It’s clearly time for Hutchinson to get more game-time and there’s a good chance he’ll get that at The Hawthorns with Matt Phillips ruled out for the rest of the season.
Carlos Corberan’s needed some extra depth out wide all month and Phillips’ recent blow only compounded that issue.
And in Hutchinson, West Brom have themselves a good young player who’s hungry to prove himself and is also able to cover a number of areas in the attack if needs be.
In other West Brom news, surgery news from the manager has come as a major blow to the Baggies’ season
