West Brom could complete one more late January signing with Nathaniel Chalobah now done
West Brom have completed the signing of Nathaniel Chalobah from Fulham and they could look to bring one more player before Tuesday’s (31 January) 11 pm deadline, according to Lewis Cox.
The Express and Star journalist have reported on Twitter that the Baggies are working on one more deal today, and there’s an outside chance of happening.
Initially, the Baggies have been trying to sign the 28-year-old midfielder on loan, but they have now signed him on an 18-month permanent deal.
“Done deal. Albion sign Fulham’s Nathaniel Chalobah on 18-month contract. Baggies are working on one more for today, if possible. Told there’s an outside chance,” wrote Cox on Twitter.
Fantastic addition
Finally, the Baggies managed to get one deal done, and it’s a fantastic addition.
From the beginning, it became very clear that West Brom are looking to sign a midfielder this month.
The Baggies have been linked with moves for Lewis O’Brien and Marvelous Nakamba, but they managed to pull off a deal for Chalobah in the end.
He hasn’t played many games this season in the Premier League, and will be looking to make an impact in the Championship.
The former Chelsea player has got loads of experience in the Championship. He has sealed two promotions in his career, with Watford and Fulham.

Therefore, his experience will be invaluable to the side as they chase promotion this season, thanks to a dramatic revival under Carlos Corberan.
The Baggies probably should look to add another attacking midfielder cum winger following the injury to Matt Phillips.
However, the time is running out, and they have to be very quick to reach an agreement for one more signing.
In other West Brom news, Celtic have accepted an offer from the Baggies for this January signing.
