West Brom defender Kean Bryan may not feature for club again amid recent injury

West Brom defender Kean Bryan may reportedly never play for the club again as he looks far from returning to the first team.

According to Birmingham Live [2 February], the ideal scenario for the 26-year-old is to play for the under-21s once he returns from injury to be ready for the first team.

However, that does not seem imminent and he may not play for the club again as his contract expires in the summer.

Unfortunate

Bryan moved to the Hawthorns in the summer of 2021 and there was hope that he could kick on and become a first-team regular.

He was signed as a defender but also had the ability to be deployed in midfield – much needed versatility that managers certainly admirer.

However, in November 2021, he suffered an ACL injury which ruled him out for the rest of the season which was extremely unfortunate.

Due to his extremely serious injury, his return to training has not been ideal and he suffered yet another setback which has ruled him out again.

It’s already February and the season gets over in May so for him to return to full training and then play for the under-21s is going to be time-consuming.

Given his injury concerns, we will be surprised if the Baggies decide to offer him a new contract as it’s certainly not been worth their while as well.
