West Brom confirm starting XI for clash v Birmingham City
West Brom have confirmed their starting XI for their Championship fixture with Birmingham City on 10 February with zero changes made.
Carlos Corberan has decided to stick to his starting XI from the clash against Coventry City in the Championship last Friday, where they won 1-0.
As confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, Corberan made no changes to his starting XI for the Friday night Championship clash at St. Andrews stadium.
Milestone week.
Corberan’s appointment as Albion boss changed the course of the season for West Brom and his further commitment to the cause this week can’t be underestimated.
The Spaniard stared a Premier League job straight in the face and chose against joining its ranks, despite the previous ties and likely better salary.
Whether or not Corberan was interested in the role is now irrelevant, he’s here to stay at The Hawthorns and that is the resounding message to take from all the chatter.
On current form, there is an extremely good chance that Corberan will get this squad to the bright lights of the Premier League next season anyway.
Until then, 8 PM clashes against Birmingham City, Blackburn and Watford await the Albion, in what promises to be the perfect spotlight for Corberan to display what this team is really made of.
The charge up the Championship table continues and the run-in for promotion is well and truly on.
