David Button axed by Carlos Corberan – Confirmed West Brom starting XI v Blackburn
Carlos Corberan has named his West Brom starting line-up against Blackburn Rovers at the Hawthorns on Wednesday (15 February) in the Championship.
The Baggies will be looking to bounce back to winning ways after a shock 2-0 defeat against Birmingham City. It was their third defeat in four games in all competitions, and they need a strong response.
Via Twitter, West Brom have shared the playing eleven for this game with Corberan making as many as four changes from the previous game.
In goal, David Button has been dropped to the bench. The likes of Jayson Molumby, Grady Diangana, and Daryl Dike have also been dropped. Josh Griffiths has come into the side, along with Brandon Thomas-Asante, and John Swift. Nathaniel Chalobah, who joined in January, has been included in the starting line-up.
Must win
This is a massive game for the Baggies. Blackburn is another huge test of Corberan’s side and one they must overcome.
Rovers sit just above the Baggies in the table and a win here would be massive for the home side.
It’s such a tightly contested playoff race and it is important to maintain the winning run at the moment.

Against Birmingham, for the first time, the Baggies were totally outplayed under Corberan. Although they defended well after two poor mistakes from the goalkeeper, in terms of attacking threat, they added very little.
It came as a big surprise as Corberan’s side are generally very good going forward. However, in the previous game, the players failed to react to the 4-4-2 diamond system implemented by the Baggies boss.
Blackburn are under pressure at the moment having failed to win in their last four league games. It will be a tight contest, but let’s hope the Baggies can pull it off.
In other West Brom news, Albion pulled the plug on a late loan signing on deadline day.
