West Brom defender Kyle Bartley suffers fresh injury setback
Carlos Corberan has confirmed that West Brom defender Kyle Bartley has suffered a fresh injury setback that’s going to keep him out for longer.
He picked up a quad injury during the World Cup break and had been working on his recovery, but will now be out perhaps until April.
Corberan said on 14 February, that it could be until six weeks until he’s back to the first-team fold.

“He has had a setback in the injury. He had the scan and the scan didn’t show the best results,” Corberan confirmed to Birmingham Live.
“He will be around five to six weeks again to manage the injury. Now we are going to analyse him with the specialist to see why this injury repeated again and we will try and take responsibility for every process of the injury.”
Shame
Since Corberan took over, Bartley has been performing to a level not many have seen from him before in a West Brom jersey.
Prior to the World Cup break, he scored two goals and kept three clean sheets in his first three appearances under the new manager.
The Baggies boss used the time off to work on training in Spain and that’s where the defender picked up his injury and he’s not been fit since then.

Hopefully, he is back in April and does not face any setbacks as West Brom will need to be close to full strength if they are to realistically finish in the play-off positions.
It’s not going to be easy and a few points could decide their fate so it’s going to be important that they remain focused right until the end.
They are currently three points off a play-off place and have two games in hand, but there are other teams around them as well in a similar situation.
In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened recently and may even leave for free.
