Chris Lepkowski annoyed as Erik Pieters footage emerges from West Brom loss v Watford

Chris Lepkowski has been left fuming at the lack of luck for West Brom as they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Watford on Monday, 20 February.

Erik Pieters deflected the ball into his own net from Ken Sema’s strike to give the Hornets three points and despite putting in a valiant effort, the Baggies came back empty handed.

Sky Sports shared the footage of the goal with Pieters not able to believe his luck.

Lepkowski then responded, “Erik Pieters, laughing for all of us. Panto night. Not his fault. Just one of those horrible goals.”

West Brom stay 10th after this result while Watford have climbed up into the play-off spots.

It could’ve been so much different had it gone the other way and the Baggies would’ve been above their opponents if that would’ve been the case.

The game was balanced right until the end and it always felt like a stroke of luck would be the deciding factor as there wasn’t much to separate the two sides.

Carlos Corberan will be fuming that his side were on the other side of the equation and he did enough to get something from this game.

There are promising signs but surely losses aren’t acceptable if they are realistically challenging for a top six finish this season.

They’ve got in a new manager who’s doing as well as the right players in January so they need to believe that it can be achieved and a few bad results for teams around them will do them a world of good as we head towards the business end of the season.

In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened recently and may even leave for free.
