Done deal: West Brom agree loan deal for Rayhaan Tulloch to join Dundalk

West Brom have confirmed that academy product Rayhaan Tulloch has signed for Dundalk on loan until the end of the campaign.

The 22-year-old joined the Baggies at the age of nine, progressed through the ranks at The Hawthorns making his first-team debut for the club in an FA Cup tie against Brighton in 2019.

Loan spells at Doncaster Rovers and Rochdale followed, but much of his career has been hampered by injuries and the youngster will be hoping to reignite his career in Ireland with Dundalk.

Good career move

The injuries suffered have pretty much hampered Tulloch’s career progression and move to Dundalk certainly makes a lot of sense as he aims to get his career back on track.

At 22 years old, the player will certainly need some first-team exposure and match opportunities to do that and playing in Ireland could well allow him the freedom and room to develop his game once again.

It’s unclear as to whether the Baggies would keep him on at the club beyond this summer, with his Hawthorns contract expiring in 2024.

Several players have been known to go elsewhere and impress on loan before coming back to reignite their careers at the Baggies, and who knows, Tulloch could well be the latest to achieve that.

He certainly won’t be written off just yet.
