West Brom defender Erik Pieters in fresh injury concern ahead of Hull City clash
West Brom will assess the fitness of Erik Pieters, who was forced off in the last game with a knee injury, ahead of their game against Hull City, according to Birmingham Live.
Carlos Corberan confirmed after the last game that the experienced defender felt “something in the knee” that put an abrupt end to a superb individual performance as the Baggies won 2-0 against Middlesbrough last week.
Pieters went to ground in the second period and after a medical examination, he was taken off. Semi Ajayi replaced him in the closing stages of the match.

“He was feeling something in the knee, something I don’t know, that didn’t allow him to keep playing,” Corberan said, as quoted by Birmingham Live.
“But he was a player who reacted in a good way after the previous performance.”
Momentum
Daryl Dike scored twice as the Baggies earned a crucial win over Boro in the last game.
The Baggies have been going through a rough patch, and it was their second win in their last seven games in all competitions. Still, West Brom are in a good position for the play-off challenge, but they need to win games in a row.
From November to the start of January, the Baggies won eight out of nine games, and Corberan should look to repeat such form as we gradually approach the business end of the season.

It seems the momentum has broken for some reason, and they need to maintain that again. Hull City are 16th in the league table, six points behind the Baggies.
They are also struggling for form at the moment, having failed to win their last four games, losing two of them.
West Brom, meanwhile, managed to keep their third clean sheet this year against Boro where young goalkeeper Josh Griffiths produced an outstanding performance.
In other West Brom news, Albion fans have been urged to look at the bigger picture when it comes to this first-team player.
