The report shares that Albion supporters will shine their mobile lights during the 7 March clash against Wigan to highlight their frustrations against Lai.

A large number of fans are also then expected to march from the town to The Hawthorns in the game against Huddersfield on 11 March.

“Fans will be upping their protests against majority shareholder Guochuan Lai at the Hawthorns this week,” as quoted by the Daily Mail. (Sports Agenda, pg. 67)

“With two home games against relegation-threatened Wigan and Huddersfield, Albion fans are again calling for the repayment of multi-million-pound loans taken out by Lai, the club’s chairman.

“Tomorrow, worried Albion supporters will shine their mobile phone torches to protest against the ownership with protest group Action for Albion handing out thousands of leaflets.

“Next Saturday, large numbers of fans are expected to march from the town to the Hawthorns ahead of kick-off, as the same group extends its protests.”

Always needed.

Protests in any form against Lai are always needed at this point and it’s nice to see Albion fans continuing to take a stand against the Chinese businessman.

Fans want and crave communication from their owners and this is something Lai simply hasn’t given the Baggies in quite some time now.

Taking money out of the club, breaking promises and missing deadlines are just a few of the shady things Lai has done to West Brom in recent times.

And with parachute payments set to end soon, things have never looked murkier at The Hawthorns than they do at this present time and a lot of that is down to Lai’s actions.

Premier League promotion is desperately needed to ease any fears of the club’s doom next year, however, this is looking less likely by the week with Carlos Corberan’s side in and out of form.

Fans want and need some clarity over where West Brom are heading, it’s not fair to keep leaving the supporters of the club in constant limbo.

In other West Brom news, the fans are demanding a meeting with the owner as questions about the £5m loan refuse to go away.
