Chris Lepkowski left frustrated as good offers rejected for West Brom takeover
Chris Lepkowski has been left frustrated as good offers for the takeover of West Brom have been turned down due to the complexities of the ownership.
He’s described the situation as an “absolute nightmare” as China Sports Insider journalist Mark Dreyer spoke about the decline of Chinese impact in European football.
Guochuan Lai is currently the controlling shareholder and the chairman of the club.
Via Twitter, former Birmingham Mail journalist Lepkowski wrote: “Good offers already been rejected, Mark. Very frustrating situation. Any sale would be an absolute nightmare due to the complexities of the ownership.”
Hope it ends soon
The Baggies are certainly being affected by everything that’s going on behind the scenes as there’s never ample money or backing to get this team to the next level.
They were in the Premier League not too long ago beating European champions and now they’re busy dealing with what seems like a never-ending situation.
Due to Carlos Corberan, a lot of the focus has been on the positives due to the performances on the field of play.

However, this ownership situation continues to lurk in the background and it’s good to see the fans continuing to voice their views about it.
We’re hoping that there’s a resolution sooner rather than later and Lai is out of the club for good with someone coming in who’s competent and can help make this team a Premier League mainstay.
The infrastructure is in place and the fanbase is also ready to move to the next level and once again compete with the best in the game.
In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
