Cardiff face ‘giant hole’ to fill ahead of West Brom Championship clash
Cedric Kipre will leave a “giant hole” in the middle of Cardiff City’s defence as the Bluebirds get set to host West Brom, according to Wales Online.
The 26-year-old is currently on loan from the Baggies in South Wales and is unable to feature against his parent club on Wednesday evening (15 March).
City boss, Sabri Lamouchi, is also sweating on the fitness of striker Connor Wickham, who is a doubt for the game (Wales Online, 14 March).

However, one piece of positive news for Cardiff is that Joe Ralls could be set to return after missing the weekend’s defeat to Preston North End.
Consistency
There can be little debate on how impressive West Brom have been at home. The Baggies have been imperious defensively and have been doing enough to get over the line on their own patch. However, there has been a slight cause for concern away from The Hawthorns, particularly against teams who are struggling.
The trip to Hull was extremely disappointing, as was the short journey to face Birmingham City. Cardiff are floundering near the bottom of the table and need to be put to the sword on Wednesday evening. The playoffs are within reach and with a huge fixture against Millwall on the horizon, the Baggies simply cannot afford to give up ground when facing the division’s bottom dwellers.

A comprehensive and professional performance is what’s required. Carlos Corberan will be acutely aware of his side’s recent deficiencies on the road and will be doing everything possible to avoid a similar scenario at the Cardiff City Stadium.
In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
