Sky Sports reporter stunned by ‘superb’ Jed Wallace moment in first half of West Brom v Cardiff
Sky Sports reporter Abigail Davies was blown away by Jed Wallace after the West Brom winger produced a “superb” first-half pass against Cardiff.
The 28-year-old picked out Daryl Dike midway through the first period to give Carlos Corberan’s side the lead in South Wales.
Davies was particularly impressed with the former Millwall man’s influence as the Baggies look to end their poor away form.

“I really like the fluidity of that three in support of Dike. It’s a superb ball from Wallace into the striker,” said Davies (Sky Sports, 20:04, 15 March).
Get the job done
Corberan’s side need to get the job done tonight. Cardiff are struggling near the bottom of the table and these are games in which promotion-chasing teams win. There have been some disappointments on the road of late. The defeat to Hull City and the loss to Birmingham spring to mind.
West Brom’s home form has been immense and if they can up their output on the road, there’s every chance of the Baggies securing a top-six berth come the end of the season.

Albion cannot afford to drop points against sides who are struggling. The close-knit nature of the playoff race means that every slip-up is punished. This squad certainly has enough to make the top six, and dispatching the likes of Cardiff is an absolute must.
It’s certainly been a positive first half in South Wales. The Baggies’ defence under Corberan has been a strength and if they can remain strong at the back, there’s no reason why three points won’t be returning to the West Midlands.
In other West Brom news, Albion pulled the plug on a late loan signing on deadline day.
