Sky Sports reporter blown away by ‘fantastic’ Josh Griffiths moment in West Brom draw v Cardiff
Sky Sports reporter Abigail Davies was blown away by Josh Griffiths after the West Brom keeper produced a “fantastic” save against Cardiff.
Carlos Corberan’s side had to settle for a point after Sory Kaba’s second-half goal cancelled out Daryl Dike’s first-half strike for the Baggies.
However, Davies praised Albion’s 21-year-old keeper after he denied a second-half effort from Jaden Philogene.

“The ball comes out to Jaden Philogene on the edge of the area and he forced a fantastic save from Josh Griffiths in the West Brom goal,” said Davies (Sky Sports 21:21, 15 March).
Away worry
West Brom won’t finish in the top six if they continue to perform like this on the road. When you look at the top sides in the second tier, they win their games away from home. Corberan has to work out a way to get his side to replicate their home form away from The Hawthorns.
A draw against a struggling side, like Cardiff, won’t see the Baggies end up where they want to come the end of the season. The close-knit nature of the playoff race means any mistake will be punished.

The upcoming fixture against Millwall has now taken some added importance. The Lions occupy the last playoff place and are currently five points ahead of Corberan’s side.
It’s a game the Baggies cannot afford to lose. A win will heap pressure on Millwall and take West Brom to within touching distance of the top six. Considering their poor away form, they cannot pass up fixtures at The Hawthorns.
