Carlos Corberan shares what’s ‘true’ about West Brom contract situation with four deals up in summer
Carlos Corberan has shared what is “true” about the current contract talks regarding four West Brom players, according to the Express & Star.
Defenders Erik Pieters and Kean Bryan, along with midfielders Jake Livermore and Tom Rogic, will see their current contracts expire at the end of the season.
And while Albion boss Corberan is focused on matters on the pitch, he has admitted that the international break is a good time to try and resolve the futures of the four players.

“Being honest so far we have been very focused on every game we are playing,” said Corberan, as quoted by the Express & Star. “It is true that the next weeks can be a good time to start to have some chat more in detail.
“But normally, being honest, I hadn’t thought about it yet. I have a full picture in my mind of everything, I know the situation of every single player, of course.”

Time to decide
With a handful of West Brom players currently away on international duty, the training ground will be quieter than usual, and could provide Corberan with the perfect opportunity to meet up and chat with various players.
The manager will want everyone working in the same direction in the months to come, with promotion back to the Premier League undoubtedly the goal, albeit via the play-offs, which is always a difficult task.
With that in mind, Corberan will not want any unhappy player within his squad. The season is rapidly drawing to a close, and there will not be many more opportunities for the manager to sit back and truly think about who he wants to keep and who he wants to let go.
It seems that defender Pieters may be the only player from the quartet to be kept on at The Hawthorns, with Bryan and Rogic both struggling with injuries in recent times, and so they could be moved on to free up space in the squad.
Livermore meanwhile has not found any warmth from Corberan at West Brom, with the midfielder heading for a somewhat disappointing end to his lengthy association with the Baggies.
In other West Brom news, one Albion player has stunned his teammate with his performances in training while on international duty.
