West Brom injury news as Daryl Dike spotted with new strapping on America duty
West Brom striker Daryl Dike has been pictured with his left knee heavily strapped, as he prepares for action with the USMNT.
The image of the seven-goal frontman will be a concern for Baggies fans such as his importance to Carlos Coberan’s side, especially ahead of the promotion push in the coming weeks.
Dike and the US national squad are currently in the Caribbean where they will take on Grenada in a CONCACAF Nations League fixture in the early hours of Saturday prior to hosting El Salvador in Florida on Tuesday 28 March.
Despite the obvious concern around Dike, he is expected to feature against Grenada but this situation is one to watch.
Following the above Tweet from the US camp, there were a few comments from a West Brom perspective and understandably so, given the precarious nature of knee trouble for any player.
Quite simply, April will be a pivotal month for the Baggies’ promotion prospects. A massive eight-game schedule follows after the international break with Coberan’s men currently just five points outside of the play-off spots with automatic promotion most likely a step too far at this stage.

April can be the catalyst for the required late push after mixed form recently and if a string of wins is to be put together, West Brom need Dike to be fit and firing.
The 22-year-old is tied with Brandon Thomas-Asante on seven Championship goals as Albion’s top goalscorer in the Championship this season but if a return to the Premier League is to be within reach, they both need to find the goal trail.
First of all, Dike’s international efforts will be closely monitored with hopefully nothing more than an injury precaution to be confirmed from the strapping to his knee.
