West Brom want to sign Stoke City ‘unsung hero’ Morgan Fox as Wales debut beckons
West Brom want to bring Morgan Fox to The Hawthorns this summer, with the defender one of Stoke City’s “unsung heroes” this season, according to Football League World.
Fox has been a regular at the back for the Potters in the current Championship campaign, making 32 appearances for the club.
His form has led to a call up for the Wales national team for their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers, as well as interest from West Brom and a handful of other Championship rivals.

“The 29-year-old has enjoyed a hugely impressive season at the Bet365 Stadium and has been one of the Potters’ unsung heroes this term after being linked with the exit door last summer,” reported Football League World.
“Fox could be in line to make his Wales debut this weekend, having been rewarded for his form by a call-up to Robert Page’s squad, and his quietly excellent season has not gone unnoticed elsewhere in the Championship either.
“Sources have exclusively informed FLW that a host of clubs are keen on the left-back, who is out of contract at Stoke in the summer. FLW understands that the Potters want to keep hold of Fox but there is growing interest with Coventry, Sunderland, and West Brom among the clubs looking to land him.”

Experienced defender eyed
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan is set to shake things up at The Hawthorns this summer, and that will involve both incomings and outgoings.
There will be plenty of player movement come the end of the season, and bringing in an experienced defender like Fox would be a smart move.
Capable of playing at both left-back and centre-back, he has been called up to the latest Wales squad following the withdrawal of Tottenham defender Ben Davies through injury.
At 29, he has had to wait a while for a potential Wales debut, having previously been called up to the squad for Euro 2016 qualifiers, but never stepping onto the pitch.
With Davies injured, combined with his form for Stoke this season, Fox may finally feature for his nation this month in the matches against Croatia and Latvia.
The reported transfer interest is not at all surprising, but the Albion have a tough task on their hands to land his signature, with Fox boasting over 200 Championship appearances.
In other West Brom news, one Albion player is “heating up” amid a trip to his old hunting ground while on international duty.
