West Brom defender Kean Bryan faces difficult return to football – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom...
West Brom defender Kean Bryan faces an incredibly difficult return to professional football after his ACL injury, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.
The 26-year-old signed for the Baggies in 2021 from Sheffield United and in November of that year suffered from a season-ending injury.
The usual timeline for return is anything between six and nine months, but there have been plenty of complications in the recovery process.

With his contract running out at the end of the season, he may want to force an early return but that could have knock-on effects further down the line.
Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Bryan’s condition, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “Very tough comeback for Bryan as he’s gone through the ACL reconstruction and rehab and then picked up multiple issues as he was returning and kept him out even longer until the end of the season.
“It’s a very difficult situation for him because of course he wants to show that he can still play and perhaps get another contract but he also hasn’t played much football over the last 18 months so trying to come back quickly could again lead to knock-on effects.”

Since moving to the Hawthorns, he has just featured on three occasions out of which just one of them have been from the start.
He has played a grand total of 49 minutes and his entire Baggies career has been marred by injuries.
Bryan will be looking to make a return to football and will certainly have high expectations from himself, having graduated from Manchester City’s academy.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies have started plans for the summer window as they’ve sent scouts to track an in-demand defender with an exit on the cards.
