Former Manchester United winger Luis Nani sends message to West Brom attacker Daryl Dike

Former Manchester United winger Luis Nani has sent his best wishes to West Brom striker Daryl Dike after it was revealed that the American would need surgery.

Dike took to Instagram to thank everyone for the support and said that he will be focusing on getting back to action after recovery.

Nani, a Champions League winner and multiple-time Premier League winner, replied, “You are strong brother get well soon.”

Tough road ahead

He will be undergoing surgery on his Achilles, per the club’s official website and the timeline of him making a return is six to nine months.

This means it’s going to be a tough road ahead as at least for the next several weeks he will not be able to adhere to his routine.

These layoffs have a detrimental effect on players’ psyche too so we’re hoping that Dike does not get down in the dumps.

West Brom

He should have the right support system in place and also the correct people advising him on what the ideal steps area.

He’ll surely want to return to training as soon as possible but it’s not going to be likely until the end of this year.

The club will undoubtedly miss his talismanic services leading the line and it’s now time for some of the other players to step up and show why they deserve a regular starting berth.

In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
