Karlan Grant starts in place of injured Daryl Dike – Confirmed West Brom XI vs Hull City
Carlos Corberan has made one change to his West Brom starting lineup for tonight’s Championship clash with Hull, as Karlan Grant starts for the first time since January.
The forward comes into the side in place of the injured Daryl Dike, who was ruled out for between six and nine months earlier today following the achilles injury he suffered against Stoke.
Alex Palmer keeps his place between the sticks while two-goal hero Jayson Molumby starts alongside Nathaniel Chalobah once again.
Taylor Gardner-Hickman returns to the bench after missing the clash with Stoke, while youngsters Jovan Malcolm and Modou Faal are also in the squad.
Push
This is the real final push for the playoffs, because the win against Stoke City at the weekend saved our bacon and meant we still have an outside chance.
The injury to Daryl Dike is obviously a massive blow, and the likes of Matt Phillips and Grady Diangana being ruled out for long spells has cost us vital points in the run-in too no doubt.

But this is a chance for Brandon Thomas-Asante to make an impression on the pitch and put forward his case to be first-choice while Dike is unavailable, and also potentially a chance for Karlan Grant to show Carlos Corberan he has a future at the club.
Defensively we need strengthening in the summer too, but Corberan has got his system in place and knows what he needs to do.
For now, focus on getting these three points in the bank and pushing on to the final four games of the season because it’s not over until it’s over.
In other West Brom news, Dike out for 6-9 months after achilles surgery.
