“Massive three points on the road, what a feeling scoring my second goal for the club. Fans were amazing. We go again”, the versatile defender posted on Instagram.

Good Reason to be Optimistic

With just four games to go this season, Gardner-Hickman and the Baggies have a good reason to be optimistic, as a push for the play-off’s is well within their own hands.

Having still to host rivals Sunderland and Norwich City as well as travel to Sheffield United and Swansea, whilst it’s a tough final few games, Carlos Corberan’s side could feasibly end the season in sixth.

With Gardner-Hickman establishing himself in the side last season making 19 Championship appearances, the versatile fullback has already surpassed this tally, playing 27 times in the league this season and boasting two goals and an assist, with a further two assists coming in the FA Cup (Transfermarkt).

As an academy graduate, fans will be pleased to see Gardner-Hickman maintaining his place in the side, and at still just 21 years old he looks to be a promising talent for the future.

Moreover, having praised the fans on social media, the defender will only further see his stock rise at the Hawthorns, perhaps even more so if he can help regain their coveted Premier League status.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has expressed fears over lasting effects to Dike after another major injury for the striker.
