Kevin Campbell delivers Carlos Corberan system verdict for Sheffield United clash after West Brom loss v Sunderland

We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…

Kevin Campbell expects Carlos Corberan to keep the same system v Sheffield United despite West Brom suffering an unlikely defeat v Sunderland.

The Baggies played host to the Black Cats on Sunday, April 23, expecting to further solidify their credentials to finish in the top six.

However, despite having more shots on goal, they failed to pick up the three points and courtesy of a Dennis Cirkin brace, Sunderland picked up the three points.

Ahead of the game against Sheffield United on Wednesday, 26 April, the Baggies find themselves outside the play-off places.

However, a win against the Blades could see them as high as in 5th spot on the table.

Discussing the Sunderland loss exclusively with West Brom News, Campbell said, “It was a tough loss, the game against Sunderland but they still got a game in hand. So if they win their game in hand they’re right there in the play-off spots.

“Fingers crossed but there’s still a lot of football that’s left to be played.

“I don’t see him changing the system at all for the next game.

“West Brom have the experience of going up through the play-offs so they are going to be a very dangerous side against. Nobody will want to play them, that’s for sure.

Sheffield will be a tough game for them as they’ve proven all season that they’ve good enough to go back up.”

The Baggies travel to Bramall Lane to take on the Blades who are also fighting for promotion but find themselves in a comfortable spot.

They just need one more win from their next four games in order to secure an automatic berth in the Premier League next season.

In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
