Sheffield United could be without three players for Championship clash v West Brom
Sheffield United could be without three players for their Championship clash against West Brom on Wednesday evening.
The Blades could seal promotion back to the Premier League with a win, with Albion also looking to gatecrash the playoffs.
Talking ahead of the clash at Bramall Lane on 26 April, Paul Heckingbottom has shared an update on Enda Stevens, Ben Osborn and Anel Ahmedhodžić, who is currently with his wife, who is in labour.

“Enda is [close], he trained a couple of days before the Wembley game and we had him down in the squad in case Anel was called away,” said the Blades’ boss (Yorkshire Live, 25 April).
“Every day we keep him training, he’s getting closer.”
On Ahmedhodžić’s availability, Heckingbottom said: “No, still the same [situation].”
Must win
This is a game the Baggies probably have to win if they really want to make the playoffs. It’s still in their hands but the weekend loss to Sunderland has certainly made things a lot harder. There are so many teams still vying for fifth and sixth position, which means any slip-up will be punished.
The performance against the Black Cats was sub-par and something will have to change heading into the season’s final fixtures. The back-to-back victories over Blackpool and Stoke are still firmly in the memory and Carlos Corberan must try and get his side back firing.

Injuries haven’t helped, with Daryl Dike and Nathaniel Chalobah the latest names to be added to the Baggies’ growing injury list. Okay Yokuslu is also being monitored after the 29-year-old featured for 85 minutes against Sunderland.
There’s a lot riding on this fixture for both teams, so this could well be a cagey affair. Let’s hope Albion can silence an expectant Bramall Lane and pull off what would be a huge away win.
In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
