Don Goodman slaughters ‘terrible’ Jayson Molumby after what happened in West Brom defeat v Sheffield United
Don Goodman has slammed West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby for a “terrible” pass in the defeat to Sheffield United on Wednesday (26 April).
The pass in question involved a chance for the Albion just before half-time when the away side had a three versus three break with the scoreline at 0-0.
With the ball at his feet, Molumby could have played in Darnell Furlong but his pass was behind his teammate and the attack stopped dead at that moment.

Speaking on Sky Sports Football on Wednesday night (26 April, 08:46pm), Goodman said: “The chance has gone because Jayson Molumby’s pass is awful. It’s absolutely awful. It does not give Darnell Furlong the opportunity it really should.
“They do really well, they win it back. But this pass here is terrible. It’s behind Furlong by a yard and the momentum is absolutely gone. Those are the fine details that can make the difference.”

Disappointing finish
Even though the Baggies have managed to recover from their poor start to the current Championship campaign, manager Carlos Corberan will be very disappointed with how his men are ending the season.
The club have failed to find any consistency in these final stages, with the Baggies failing to win any of their first three matches in April, where they drew with Millwall and QPR and lost to Rotherham.
Things picked up with back-to-back victories against Stoke and Blackpool, but these have now been followed by back-to-back losses against Sunderland and Sheffield United.
The defeats leave the club sitting ninth in the Championship table on 63 points, with their play-off chances fading with every point dropped.
However, given both how tight things currently stand and how crazy the Championship can be, it would be foolish to rule out the Albion securing a play-off place from their final two matches.
Corberan’s side are just two points off Sunderland in sixth place, with games against Norwich and Swansea to come.
In other West Brom news, the Baggies have been hit with further injury pain with the news that one player is out for the season.
