Sky Sports pundit predicts West Brom game v Norwich City in Championship play-off race

David Prutton has opted for a score draw when West Brom host Norwich City in a crucial Championship clash on Saturday 29 April.

The Sky Sports pundit has predicted a 1-1 scoreline in the live TV clash, in what is a must-win game for both sides if they want to reach the playoffs.

Carlos Corberan’s team has suffered a recent setback, with two defeats putting the skids on their promotion push at a critical stage, with just two games of the regular season remaining.

Writing in his Sky Sports prediction column, Prutton believes that both teams will emerge from this game with disappointment.

“It has been a bad week for West Brom”, he stated. “They have lost back-to-back games at a time when they could have really nailed down a spot in the top six.

“It is win or bust here and for Norwich. Nothing less than six points from their last two games for both will be enough. Even that might not be, so all they can do is hope. But with both needing to go for it, I’m feeling a draw.”

One last push

Six points could be enough for the Baggies to land a playoff spot but their fate is out of their own hands, at this late stage.

It should be an open game given that the Canaries have no option other than three points. That need to attack can play into the hands of Corberan’s men.

This meeting of 9th v 11th will deliver goals, that should be guaranteed given what is at stake.

West Brom have only managed one goal in their last two outings, but several injuries have been a factor in contributing to the loss at home to Sunderland as well as the 2-0 defeat at Bramall Lane in midweek as the Blades confirmed their promotion to the Premier League for next season.

One last push has to be the mantra for all at The Hawthorns as three points in this fixture could open the door for last-day drama.

In other West Brom news, Pundit has predicted if Corberan will make many changes for the Norwich game after the latest loss at Sheffield United.
