West Brom confirmed XI v Norwich City – Coberan makes one change

Carlos Corberan has named his West Brom starting line-up to face Norwich City at The Hawthorns in the live Sky Sports Championship fixture on Saturday evening.

Just one point separates both clubs in ninth and twelfth, respectively, in the league table ahead of the penultimate game of the season.

As confirmed via the club’s official Twitter account, Corberan has made just one change from the side that lined up at Bramall Lane in the defeat to Sheffield United on Wednesday.

With a lengthy injury list, the manager’s options will have been limited in terms of team selection but the continuity means it’s a chance to respond well to the last two results.

John Swift will hopefully bring an added threat in the Norwich box, with his return to the side.

Otherwise, it is the same team and largely, as expected.

Bounce back, final push

West Brom or Norwich can keep their playoff hopes alive, but both sides know that only a win will do.

In the last game of the regular season at The Hawthorns, the fans will give their team an extra roar in the hope of seeing another home game this season.

The Canaries are still in contention despite just one win in their last nine league fixtures, which should inspire Corberan’s men to get the required three points this evening.

The Baggies have taken 12 points in the same period despite the recent disappointment of consecutive defeats to Sunderland and Sheffield United, respectively.

Now is the time to bounce back, for the final push.

Two more victories would bring the points tally to 69. That could be enough but it is an outside chance. The last time 69 points secured a top-six finish was in the 2012/13 season and prior to that, three decades previous.
