West Brom need Premier League promotion after recent £2m loan revelation – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…
Kevin Campbell believes West Brom need to be promoted back to the Premier League based on the squad they have and how they’ve been run.
He was also informed about the fact that the club’s parent company has taken out a £2million loan from Warmfront Holdings. [Kieran Maguire]
On this loan, five per cent interest is charged every month and over a year, 79.6 per cent interest is levied on the borrowed money.
Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, Campbell, a Sky Sports pundit, said, “I don’t know the financial power of the club but what I do know is that they’ve got a good squad. A talented squad. Now it’s time to put up or shut up.
“They’re a talented bunch of players at the club who will be paid well so they need promotion for that reason.
“They need to get back in the Premier League and get that Premier League money back in the coffers to replenish and because you’ve, they’ve been run as a Premier League club for years.”

As things stand, promotion is not in the hands of the Baggies as they’ve not only got to win on the final day of the season, but hope that results elsewhere go in their favour.
Millwall, Sunderland, Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers are fighting for the two remaining play-off spots with the final round of fixtures scheduled for Monday, 8 May.
In other West Brom news, a defender may never feature for the club again after what happened and may even leave for free.
