West Brom midfielder Okay Yokuslu may be ruled for months in worst-case scenario – Injury Expert

We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at West Brom...

Okay Yokuslu could be ruled out of action for months for West Brom if his injury persists without healing, claims Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert asserts that the bone bruise could last in a longer-than-expected absence, which is reasonable, given the circumstances.

He also stated that the best case would be for him to recover quickly with the pain subsiding and him being able to return to training.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Yokuslu’s injury, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said, “Returning from a kick is typically a matter of pain level and ongoing discomfort and dysfunction.

“The best case is the pain dissipates quickly and he’s able to return, reasonable worst case is a bone bruise that lasts in an extended absence up to months.”

The 29-year-old has been a lynchpin for the Baggies this season and has been a starter whenever he’s fit for Carlos Corbean.

The Turkish midfielder has played in 33 Championship games and despite playing in a deeper role, has contributed with three goals.

Recently, he was even awarded their Player of the Season – stating just how important his influence has been for the first team.

Yokuslu’s deal at the Hawthorns runs out at the end of the 2025 campaign.

In other West Brom news, a key first-team player may now be back to normal condition for up to 18 months as a fresh development emerges.
