Done deal: West Brom finalise contract terms for Eseosa Sule after 2023 transfer

Eseosa Sule has penned his first professional contract with West Brom keeping him at The Hawthorns until June 2025.

Despite signing a professional contract with Celtic in the summer, Albion moved to snap up the 16-year-old centre-forward, who was a shining light of the academy at Parkhead.

Having initially agreed scholarship terms with Albion in January 2023, the young hopeful turned pro on his 17th birthday and has already shown his rising status at the Baggies in Leigh Downing’s Under-18s and, more recently, Richard Beale’s PL2 side.

And the club confirmed his new contract [12 May] on their official website which comes as some vibrant news for the whole club given Sule’s huge potential.

Rising Star

The past few years have been tough for the academy at West Brom, with several rising talents swapping their allegiances for pastures greener.

However, since Sule’s announcement as a West Brom official talent now, things seem to be moving on an upward trajectory for the club academy as the 17-year-old could well be making his official debut in no time at all.

Sule will join the likes of the promising Reyes Cleary, Zac Ashworth and Taylor Gardner-Hickman at the Hawthorns and will be an exciting addition to the side in the coming months.

With Corberan set to refresh his squad this summer, it certainly won’t be a surprise to see the Spaniard include some exciting young stars in his coming teamsheets and the Championship is the ideal platform for players like Sule to learn their trade and grow into becoming future world-beaters.

Superb news for the Baggies.

In other West Brom news, Rangers want to sign a forward who the Baggies are happy to sell – presumably for the same price as these home kits.
