West Brom youngster Reyes Cleary nominated for Player of the Season award after 16-goal campaign
West Brom ace Reyes Cleary has been nominated for the Premier League 2 (PL2) Player of the Season award.
The 19-year-old forward registered 16 goals and three assists this season for the Albion Under-21s side, as they missed out on promotion to Division One.
The teenage star has been shortlisted for the award alongside seven other players throughout the competition.

“Eight young talents have been shortlisted for the 2022/23 Premier League 2 Player of the Season award,” according to the official Premier League website.
“Nominees were selected by the Premier League Football Development Panel after PL2 club coaches proposed the best performances by opposing players throughout the season. The panel will decide the winner, who will be announced next week.”
Very bright future ahead
Teenage star Cleary has enjoyed a superb campaign for the Albion Under-21s, with the forward deservedly up for the prestigious award.
His pathway into the first team is already well underway, with the 19-year-old handed minutes in the Championship, FA Cup and League Cup this season.
Given his superb campaign, it seems that Baggies boss Carlos Corberan has a perfect option to bolster his squad for next season right under his nose, which will be particularly helpful given the long-term injury to Daryl Dike.
Corberan is still expected to delve into the transfer market this summer as the club chase promotion back to the Premier League, but it is very positive news for the manager that he can turn to the Under-21s for nearby talent.
Regardless of whether or not talented youngster Cleary wins the award this season, it is still a very impressive achievement to be nominated, with his displays perhaps even catching the eye of managers elsewhere.
In other West Brom news, Corberan is under pressure to shift high-earning Albion players due to their financial situation, according to The Telegraph journalist John Percy.
