Tom Ross takes swipe at Xu Ke as West Brom director responds to Action for Albion letter
Xu Ke has rejected the opportunity to meet with a West Brom fan group to discuss the issues that are plaguing The Hawthorns.
Ke, widely known as Ken, is the sole director of West Bromwich Albion Group Ltd and he’s already refused to answer a series of questions sent to him by minority shareholders Shareholders for Albion.
Action for Albion confirmed in a statement on Tuesday (23 May) that they have also asked for a meeting with Ken but Guochuan Lai’s Chinese associate has turned them down.
Action for Albion hit out at Ken’s decision with local broadcaster Tom Ross also chipping in to suggest that the Baggies’ ownership is disrespecting the fanbase – or there’s something they don’t want to speak about.
Ross said in a tweet: “In my opinion, people only decline to answer questions when they have something to hide or just don’t have any answers or have no respect for the people asking the questions.”
No chance
There’s no way that Ken or Lai or anyone else in China who’s associated with West Bromwich Albion will be speaking to fans or speaking out at all any time soon.
They’re fully aware of the mess they’re creating and fully aware of how angry fans are with their so-called leadership at The Hawthorns.
West Brom’s failure to win promotion to the Premier League this season has really put the club’s future under threat.
Not only will the club probably struggle to repay a £20million loan to MSD Holdings – plus interest – but the fans will also be living in fear of yet more money being taken from the club by Lai and his cronies.
Action for Albion and Shareholders for Albion can continue to ask the club’s controlling shareholder and directors for more transparency but it’s not going to happen, unfortunately.
That doesn’t, however, mean that they shouldn’t ask because their failure to respond shows who they really are and what we’re really dealing with here.
In other West Brom news, Albion are eyeing a £4million-rated striker.
