West Brom deadline for Xu Ke emerges in June before potential escalation – Chris Lepkowski
Former head of media at West Brom, Chris Lepkowski has revealed Shareholders for Albion will use more “formal pathways” if Xu Ke does not provide answers to their questions.
S4A have already been notified by Ke that he wouldn’t be responding to the 38 questions that were sent in by chair Leigh Kent (Birmingham Live, 23 May).
Lepkowski has since taken to Twitter and revealed that the director has until 4pm on 6 June to respond before more “formal” procedures are launched.

“I’m hearing Xu Ke has been given until 4pm on 6 June to respond to the recent S4A questions,” he wrote (29 May).
“Failure to do so may see this particular issue escalated down more formal pathways.”
Climax
It feels as if the S4A are getting close to reaching their goal. They need answers, the fans need answers, Carlos Corberan needs answers and so do the players. If the owners were open and honest about the situation, the uncertainty and tension would diminish.
West Brom’s absent owner has allowed a cloud of his own making to form over The Hawthorns. We’ve seen this scenario emerge numerous times. The likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and Bolton have all been mismanaged in recent years.

The Baggies are now looking the most likely to follow suit. Missing out on promotion was damaging and it’s now a waiting game. We aren’t asking for much, but some sort of comment from the ownership would allow for some sort of transparency to emerge.
Until there is some stability, it could well be hard for Corberan and his staff to plan ahead for what will be an important summer on the pitch.
In other West Brom news, Carlton Palmer has given his seal of approval to a “very good” Baggies transfer target.
