Medical scheduled as West Brom, Norwich City and Bristol City target Ross McCrorie set for £2m transfer

West Brom, Norwich City and Bristol City target Ross McCrorie is reportedly going to seal his permanent Aberdeen exit this week.

According to the Scottish Sun [5 June], he has jetted into the United Kingdom to undergo his medical on Tuesday before a move can be announced.

Bristol have won the race for the 25-year-old who will be moving to the club for £2million and he will sign a three-year deal there.

Alas

The Baggies were desperate to sign a defender this summer and getting the 25-year-old over the line would’ve been a great deal.

He left Rangers due to the lack of first-team opportunities and did well at Aberdeen which put him on the radar of the EFL clubs.

The Baggies surely have a better chance at promotion than Bristol and it’s a huge blow that they failed to get this deal over the line.

Now, it’s back to the drawing board for them in order to look at other deals and there’s not going to be a shortage of available players.

However, they will not be as high on the priority list and if they want their other targets to be signed, they need to act quickly.

We’re unaware as to why the 25-year-old didn’t move to the Hawthorns, but delays in the recruitment process could be a big reason.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski left fuming amid stinking Hawthorns development at the boardroom level.
