West Brom to listen to offers for Grady Diangana and Dara O’Shea as exit news emerges

West Brom will listen to offers for both Grady Diangana and Dara O’Shea this summer, according to the Sunday People.

The newspaper added that the club are willing to let the star duo go as they look to “balance the books” at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies signed Diangana from West Ham permanently in 2020 following a loan spell, with O’Shea a product of the club’s youth academy.

“West Brom will listen to offers for Grady Diangana and Dara O’Shea as they look to balance the books this summer,” according to the Sunday People (11 June, page 61).

“Former West Ham striker Diangana, 25, played a major role the last time the club were promoted to the Premier League in 2020 but failed to kick on, despite a £20million fee.

“O’Shea is a product of the club’s academy and was handed a lengthy deal after he became one of the few to emerge with credit during the Baggies’ relegation under Sam Allardyce in 2021.”

Forced into it

It’s a shame that it has come to this at West Brom, with the club once going strong in the Premier League, to now having to sell players in order to keep things right behind the scenes.

It is the people in the boardroom who should be on their way out, but sadly it could be a few star players, and O’Shea is definitely one of them.

The 24-year-old already boasts over 100 Baggies appearances, and is also a fully-established international with the Republic of Ireland.

O’Shea also has Premier League experience, while his versatility means he can operate at both centre-back and full-back.

All of the above means the Albion man will certainly have plenty of suitors if indeed he is forced out of The Hawthorns this summer.

Diangana meanwhile is another star of the current side, and again a player who should have no shortage of options away from West Brom given his previous success in the Premier League.
