American investment will be game changer for West Brom Premier League push – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former West Brom striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at The Hawthorns…
Kevin Campbell believes that securing American investment would be huge for West Brom as they eye a return to the Premier League.
The Baggies narrowly missed out on the play-offs and were in the running until the final day of the season despite a torrid start to the season.
Finance expert Dan Plumley claimed on 29 May that American investment opportunities are there in the English game and even mentioned the Baggies.

Discussing this issue exclusively with West Brom News, Campbell, a Sky Sports pundit said, “They need somebody who’s going to come in and make a difference, obviously, financially is huge.
“It’s still a good size club and they’ve got ambitions, they’ve got ambitions of, of, of getting back into the premier league.
“I mean, they just really missed out, after such a poor start. It seems they have got the right manager in place. So I think getting the right investment is going to be key.
“American owners, you know, they might just say that this would be a great opportunity to get in because we could pick it up at a good price.
“Now, you get in the Premier League, it puts some serious zeroes on top of your price. I’m sure it’ll be, it’ll be a good investment for someone.“

Carlos Corberan came in and helped turn around the fortunes of a side that was battling relegation after the first few months.
He managed to tighten up the defence and also got his creative players in the groove which helped them climb up the table.
The Spanish manager has been linked with a return to Leeds United so it remains to be seen if he stays put at the Hawthorns.
In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski left fuming amid a stinking Hawthorns development at the boardroom level.
