Wanted man

Corberan is clearly a wanted man, and the interest in him is understandable given the superb job he has done at West Brom.

The Spaniard was already highly thought of at Elland Road after his fantastic feats for the club’s under-23s not so long ago, which he achieved alongside his fine job in the senior dugout beside Marcelo Bielsa.

The Albion will be desperate to keep hold of Corberan for at least another campaign, but they could find themselves in a losing battle given the Spaniard’s history with Leeds and indeed the exciting managerial vacancy at Elland Road.

It is a difficult job, as proven by the recent tenures of Sam Allardyce, Javi Gracia and Jesse Marsch, but the rewards are obvious, with the Whites seemingly more capable of being promoted to the Premier League than the Albion at this moment in time.

Leeds still have plenty of star quality, and if they can keep hold of the majority of their current squad, they have every chance of an immediate return to the top flight.

In other West Brom news, the Baggies will listen to offers for one star defender and a big-money signing this summer.
