West Brom ready to sell Jayson Molumby amid Leeds United transfer development
Sun journalist Alan Nixon has reported that Leeds United are keen on signing Jayson Molumby from West Brom.
The journalist wrote on his official Patreon page (18 June) that the Whites, who are being taken over by US investors 49ers Enterprises, are keen on the Republic of Ireland midfielder.
Molumby will be available for the right price as Leeds look to toughen up their midfield by recruiting proven players to the club.

Molumby’s availability comes despite some fantastic praise given to him by his manager Carlos Corberan just two months ago. The midfielder took a pain-killing injection to overcome some pain and score twice in the Baggies’ away win at Stoke back on 15 April.
“I think the personality and the goals that he has are very huge,” Corberan told the Express and Star (16 April).
“He was having to have an injection to play today, yesterday he couldn’t complete training, only half, but he is going to make a career because he has the determination to make it. Some people with adversity – they give up! And Molumby is not going to do that.”
Surprise sale
It is not often that you see a player available for transfer just a matter of months after receiving that level of praise from their manager, however, that is the situation that West Brom, Corberan, and Molumby find themselves in.

The player certainly has a bright future ahead if Corberan’s comments are anything to go by. The 23-year-old played 43 times for West Brom in the Championship last season and scored on four occasions while providing four assists from midfield.
It would certainly be a loss for West Brom if Molumby is to make the move away, and a big addition for Leeds. The midfielder’s Championship experience could be exactly what the Yorkshire giants need to have a positive season and promote back to the Premier League instantly.
However, no sale of the player has by any means been confirmed yet and it is clear from his April comments that Corberan will be hopeful that the club can keep hold of the young midfielder.
