Medical may be tomorrow as Dara O’Shea talks advance for Burnley transfer from West Brom – Sky Sports
West Brom could reportedly be losing their first-team defender Dara O’Shea this summer with Premier League side Burnley showing interest in his services.
According to Sky Sports, talks between the concerned parties are now at an advanced stage with the deal very likely to be done soon.
The medical for the Republic of Ireland’s move to Turf Moor could be as early as Thursday, 22 June, with a permanent exit on the cards.
Tough luck
Carlos Corberan and West Brom would’ve wanted O’Shea to stay but it’s pretty hard to turn down a move to the top flight.
Had the Baggies been among the favourites to finish in the top two, he would’ve considered staying as Burnley are likely to fight a relegation battle next season.
He’s liked at the Hawthorns and if he could guide them to promotion, it would’ve been something he might have considered.

However, given how things are behind the scenes at the club, it’s hard to hold him back against his wishes.
Hopefully, the Baggies get a decent transfer fee for the 24-year-old as he’s among their best players and a nailed on starter when fit.
He still has another two years to run on his deal at the club so it remains to be seen how good West Brom are at cashing in on talent.
In other West Brom news, a Sky Sports pundit has lashed out at a Baggies employee and has mooted serious consequences behind the scenes at Hawthorns.
