West Brom have made no secret of their need to raise funds this summer, and sadly for the Baggies that means they need to sell some of their prized assets.
And top of the list is defensive ace O’Shea, who is closing in on a move to Turf Moor, in what is a fantastic switch for the Republic of Ireland international.
He enjoyed a superb season for club and country, even if it was cut short by injury. The defender did, however, recently return to the pitch for his nation.
It’s a big loss for West Brom, but it is one that seemingly needed to happen as the club look to balance its books ahead of the new campaign.
With Premier League experience already under his belt, there is plenty of promise that O’Shea can shine at his new club, with the centre-back set to learn from one of the best defenders ever in his new manager Vincent Kompany.
