Carlos Corberan fate emerges at West Brom as Leeds United reach verbal agreement with manager
Daniel Farke has a verbal agreement to become the new manager of Leeds United, according to Marlon Irlbacher, as Carlos Corberan looks set to remain at West Brom.
Leeds’ manager hunt has been going on for weeks which has left many fans wondering whether or not Corberan would look to jump ship.
After taking the Baggies just three points off of the play-off places last season, a chance to have a go at promotion with Leeds might have proved tempting.

Corberan was widely linked with the role at one point. The Daily Mail reported a few weeks ago (16 June) that Leeds vice-chairman Paraag Marathe had lined up interviews with Corberan and Farke.
However, the Daily Mail reported again just a few days later (19 June) that the Whites did not want to pay compensation for any new manager which made a move for the West Brom boss unlikely.
And Sky Sports Germany journalist Irlbacher has now tweeted (30 June) that Farke and Leeds have come to a verbal agreement which will see the 46-year-old take over at Elland Road, bringing to an end the wide-spread speculation.
This will be a huge relief to the West Brom faithful. The focus can now switch fully to the season ahead without uncertainty dragging on over their boss’ future.
The links would have no doubt also disrupted Corberan and his preparations and he will now be able to provide his full attention to the club as pre-season gets underway.
Everyone at West Brom can now push in the same direction as they look to beat sides such as Leeds and their reported new manager Farke to Premier League promotion next year. It promises to be a competitive season in the Championship and the Baggies cannot afford any further distractions.
In other West Brom news, Corberan could look to save the transfer budget with some in-house recruitment.
